Do you regret majoring in Interior Design or becoming an Interior Designer?

I'm about to graduate and I will have my BFA in Interior Design. Lately I've really been feeling like I have made a mistake and should have majored in something else. I like designing interiors and I enjoy the design process but I hate making construction documents. There really aren't a lot of jobs in Interior Design right now and most of the jobs that are being offered are positions for people who can do CAD. So basically I'm destined to do what I absolutely hate for who knows how long until I am able to move up in the field. And even if I do move up, the average salary for an Interior Designer is $40,000 so I probably won't ever be able to make a lot of money. I have worked so hard, stayed up so many nights trying to get my work done, and I feel like it doesn't matter because no one appreciates what an Interior Designer really is. People think I'm just an Interior Decorator. I really regret majoring in Interior Design but I'm just wondering if anyone else regrets it too? And if you already are an interior designer, do you regret becoming that?
