Will my belly bar close up if i take it out?

i got my belly pierced a few days ago, and as i have mentioned in a previous question, i have an xray at the end of next month. is it possible to take it out for about 30 mins because of the xray and checkup, without it closing up because it has not healed completely? and will it be very painful putting it back in?
