Is majoring in Theater the same as getting a BFA in it?

BFA, or Bachelor of Fine Arts, is a degree type. Your major is what you specialize your studies in. So if you do get a BFA, then you choose what you want to specialize in. You could get a BFA in Visual Arts, Dance, Theatre, Technical Theatre, Acting, et cetera. Talk to your college counselor.
