Do you think the piercer will change my piercing?

So I got my belly button pierced 5 months ago. The piercer said to come back in three months for a checkup and to change the jewelry, but since he lives two hours away I haven't made it in yet. I'll be going next Friday and I'm wondering if he'll change it. It seems pretty much healed. The bottom hole is little red/purple but I also scar purple from piercings. There is not really any discharge. Maybe a little bit every once in awhile that forms a little bit of crusties on the ring. It doesn't cause me any pain and I can move it up and down without any problem. What do you think?
