Invest $30,000 CDN: What are the best options?

I will soon have $30,000 saved for tuition at a 3D animation/modeling school. Before I go to school for that, I will finish my BFA which will take about 1.5 years (I've already done 2 years here but can expedite my degree at the school I'll be attending in January). I'll be taking out student loans to cover the rest of university, and I have to have my savings locked away so the government won't expect me to use that for school. Once I obtain my degree, my savings needs to be freed so I can use it towards tuition for 3D school. I'd like to have it grow during those two years. It needs to be low risk since it's going to pay for my education. The only option I know right now is for a GIC. What other options might exist?
