I appears that you are looking at colleges that only offer these degrees - neither of which is focused enough to give you any real education in ONE instrument, never mind three areas. You need to pursue a BM degree - and choose ONE area. Yes, we advise singer to also have a solid amount of piano skills - but their voice study FAR outweighs the 2 years or so of piano they study. You need to study privately in the ONE performing area of your choice, so you can get into a really fine 4-year college, now or as a transfer. The path you have outlined for yourself is professionally weak, and it being cobbled together by counselors who have nothing better to offer you. Reconsider your plans.

I just got back from my doctor visit yesterday and I haven't gained one pound. I'm 19 wks pregnant and my doctor told me I really needed to gain more weight. I think you should get a new doctor. You are underweight. 5'8" and 112 lbs is too light. You've been watching too many TV commercials and all the skinny models. Treating possible chlamydia?

My boyfriend (ex now) told me last week he went to get a checkup and was diagnosed with Chlamydia. I have no symptoms but Chlamydia appears to have few symptoms normally. Dog sick after switching food?

Hi there, hoping that someone can help me out. I just recently got a puppy (he is about 7 months old). About five days ago we started transitioning him to a new type of dog food. Almost right away we noticed that his stool was getting a little bit looser and eventually it started coming out as a more pudding texture. Two days ago now we ran out of old food and could no longer slowly transition the dog. This is when I started to notice that his stool was getting to be more watery. He had trouble sleeping last night because his stomach was so upset. I did go and buy a bag of his old food yesterday hoping that that would help, I fed him the old food for all meals. He woke me up about three or four times during the night because he was whining and one time when I got up with him after going to the bathroom he vomited. I have been feeding him pure pumpkin as well as making sure that no one feeds him scrap food. I started to notice the loose stool about 4 days ago now. I am wondering if I should be taking my pup to the vet or if I should follow other advice that I have read and withhold his food for 24hrs before feeding him bland food like rice. Any helpful advice is very much appreciated.

What does elevated blood results mean?

I had me yearly checkup done with the VA a couple of days ago and they took some blood for routine testing. I received a phone call today saying my blood work came back fine but "the levels" were slightly elevated. I go back next week to have the tests redone. What does this mean? You can make this a little easier and cheat like I do by just buying instant yellow rice box like uncle bens or minute rice, then add the seafood and veggies, toss,etc. If not,You can use jasmine rice or stick with any white rice! But the trick is to add this powdered food coloring sold at most latin supermarkets. Some are a blend of tumeric, some is saffron, which is the most common spice in paella and the cause for it's color. I go for saffron to keep it Spaniard, My mom is cuban/spanish and sticks to the saffron spice when making paella, but you can use tumeric powder instead too if you can't find Spanish Saffron. Stick with Jasmine, you are totally fine with that type of rice..and good luck!

3 month old spitting up... DR won't do anything about it!?

I posted a question a few days ago about my 3 month old son spitting up ALL the time. I called his DR to see if we could just try some acid reflux medicine and she said no, and to just keep trying different formulas. I don't want to keep trying formulas, because I know it can mess with his delicate stomach. He spits up every feeding and between feedings. I tried to lower how many ounces he's eating,burping him more, sitting him up for 45 minutes after feedings, added rice to his bottles (recommended by his Dr) and he still spits it all up. He's had this problem since he was born. I know some babies just spit up but I DO NOT think this is just a case of him being a "spitter" he spits up ALOT of the milk, his mouth looks like a faucet, it just keeps coming and never stops. The spit up is chunky and he is sometimes in pain. AND he has constant hiccups and a cough. Which seems to make it worse. All of this points to a mild case of Acid Reflux. There has to be something out there to help my baby boy. Or is the DR right? He will outgrow it? It just doesn't seem normal for him to spitting up this much all the time.

Hello. Can you catch Hiv from a non sexual massage. I went into a fairly nice spa and had a half hour massage. I noticed the lady (who was very nice) was using a jar of cream.. not a pump bottle. I have had anxiety issues in the past and i noticed what seemed to be an unsanitary practice. I should have said something. What if the person who went in before me was hiv positive (i know that is a stretch, but just say he she was) if they had a scab or anything like that and the lady put her hand in the lotion and blood got into it (even a small amount), would that be able to transmit the hiv to me. I work out and do have some acne on my back that was burning just a little from the lotion. I know this sounds crazy. But it seems to make sense the more I think of it. my son is 18 weeks old. i didn't have a period before i went in for my post partum checkup.at my post partum check up, i started the patch, and was on it for the first month afterwords. i never had a period while i was on it, so i had a total of 8 weeks without one. when my bc ran out, i never got it filled. now ever since then, i've had one every two weeks. before i had my son i had a 28 day cycle. like clockwork. even after my oldest two. but for some reason, this has messed with me. they are still like clockwork, but my cycles are cut in half. has this ever happen to anyone? and if so, is there wnything i can do to help besides go on bc???

Doctor refuses to give ultrasound, and my fluid was low!!! Help!?

2 weeks ago to the date I went it for a regular checkup. I was 30 weeks pregnant, and they did an ultrasound just to make sure the baby was growing fine. She was, and her weight was right on track. The ultrasound technician said she probably weighed around 3 lbs 7 oz. At the end of it she told me my fluid was a little low. At the time I wasn't aware of what questions to ask.. I asked her if that was bad, and she didn't reply. When I talkeed to my doctor about it he didn't seem concerned at ALL! I read up on things that can happen when fluid is low, and it scared me none the less. 3 days ago, I thought i was leaking fluid. I had something run down both of back of my legs, but i smelled it and it wasn't pee. I called, and they everything should be fine!!! So today I went in for another doctor visit, and I told him about it and yet again he didn't seem concerned. He made me feel soo stupid. He just told me if i feel her stop kicking then come in! I'm so worried! Should I call and switch doctors??

i did not read 100% of this truthfully, but this is what i would suggest. i have had the same thing and i went to the doctor. they said it was not a uti but put me on antibiotics anyway beacause i have adrenal insufficiency so he donst take chances with me. it went away. then i had it again and all i did was drank a bunch of cranberry juice and havnt had one since! :) i didnt think it was a uti beacuse it didnt feel the same at all. after i did some reasurch i found out that it was a very minor type of infection that usually dosnt show up. idky. but just drink some cranbery juice and if that dosnt help then go to the doctor! :)

Well today she woke up, and when she sat up a small amount of fluid (about 3 TBSP or more) was released. The doctor told her to come in. He checked her and said it didn't look like her water had broken and said she could go home and wait. It's now about four hours later and she has started having contractions (right now at about 25 minutes apart). Any help/advice appreciated, like i said, it's our first rodeo.

i want my BFA in the fine arts, so i want to go to an art school. Im moving to georgia, and i want to stay in georgia. im going to be living right outside of atlanta. i applied to the art institute of atlanta to get my bfa in the fine arts majoring in film, but i realized that i want to pledge a sorority, as being in a sorority and get you to many places. the only thing is, the art insitutes doesnt have this. is there any way that i can start my own if i wanted to? or how do i go about this situation? i also want to do sports. such as cheerleading and lacrosse, but my school doesnt offer these either. Whats a girl to do?

I have an appointment today it's just a checkup that was just scheduled so I could get forms filled out for college but I do actually have something I am worried about. I am having a hard time getting an erection and maintaining it when I do get one and they never seem to be as hard as they used to be in the past. I had shoulder surgery, it's weak and hurts a lot when it should have been better months ago?

I had surgery in august of last year for a shoulder dislocation, rotater cuff is fine, just some ligaments had to be repaired. I got good a good prognosis, and over the healing time it was hit a few times, and once out of sling it accidentally caught my fall once by reflex, and hurt pretty bad (has not been dislocated since surgery though). I was supposed to be 99% by February or March. I did not do all of my physical therapy at home once I completed all my sessions. I went for a checkup, and he told me what I needed to strengthen, because it may have been stretched out a little. If I strengthen my shoulder up really well, will it ever reach 100%? I am concerned because I'm going into the military. The field I will be going into is intense in terms of strength, especially the shoulder joints. So if I need surgery Im getting it again asap, but I need to know if I will be okay if I restart home PT to strengthen the weak parts so I can finally reach 100%, or will I only get to like 90% and wind up hurting it in training? Basically my question is, if my ligaments have stretched out again, can I workout the muscles so the joint is more stable, and be completely normal again without surgery? Much appreciated for your time.

I would go with chicken fajitas. Slice the chicken into thin strips & saute in a bit of olive oil over med-high heat until golden & cooked through (you can cook some veggies like peppers and onions with the chicken at this point too). I would add some spices like garlic, chili powder, oregano, etc... as the chicken is cooking as well, and probably the green chilis too! As the chicken is cooking, slightly warm the tortillas. Make the fajitas by placing a scoop of the chicken mixture in the middle of a warmed tortilla, top with cheese (if desired... could also use sour cream, salsa...), and rolling it up. Bon appetit!

Why does this happen when I wear glasses?

I wore glasses for almost 4 years now. For some reason, I get a big headache and my eyes start hurting when I wear glasses now. Ipod nano 5th generation problem...?

Ok. I'm on vacation and i slipped and fell in a bit of water while my Ipod was in my pocket. It got a little wet and it was basically out before i got it wet. i pressed the menu button and the little Apple screen showed up, so i was pretty relieved. Then i took it home and charged it up and i took it out and it is now stuck on lock. The button works, i'm able to flip it on and off but that doesn't change anything, there is still the little ipod lock in the corner. I tried to reset it, that didn't work because it is LOCKED. I tried to restore, that didn't do anything either. I was told to let it dry out because it got wet...but it happened yesterday and no change. Okay so im a teenager, and I have a job and I was thinking about getting a puppy. Im home almost everyday but I live in my parents house still (obviously). What are early signs of labor? very confused?

I am a little under a month away from my due date and at my checkup last week I asked what the signs of labor are and my doctor said the only sign ill see is my water breaking. He said that's the only way ill know but I thought there were other signs. hard to believe at 132 that you need to lose much weight, but anyways it's your choice. And anything that gets your heart pumping faster, anything that makes you move and sweat will help you lose weight. Honestly you wont be able to get up at 5am to jog for an hour, then 45 minute sprint, then elipticle for 45min, jump rope for 30min , and punching bag 30 min, thats like a professional athletes cardio lol(not really but wtv) unless you have VERY VERY good cardiovascular indurance you wont be able to, i'd say youd be alright with 1hr in total, since your still young and you dont wanna use up all ur time on that.. have a good summer, and remember to have fun!

Need advice on how to gain weight during pregnancy?

I just got back from my doctor visit yesterday and I haven't gained one pound. I'm 19 wks pregnant and my doctor told me I really needed to gain more weight. At first I thought, "O well I'm definitely going to go to Tisch", but now I'm not so sure. Why is it sumtimes hurtful for me to breath?

Sumtimes if I lay in bed or I'm at school, my lungs kinda tighten and Hurt. Then when I breath, it kinda hurts and I feel like I will either hyperventilate or pass out, but it never happens. How do I stop overeating?

I exercise for about 25 min in the morning, eat 1 boiled egg and a piece of toast with avacado for breakfast, for lunch its usually a healthy sandwitch with wholegrain bread and 2 pieces of fruit and for dinner usually chicken with vegetables and rice...but I am constantly hungry all day and night, especially at night. I drink about 4 glasses of water, it's all I can manage. This whole high protein thing isn't making me as full as I thought. What else should I do?

Dropped ipod touch into water and now not responding to touch, HELP!?

Three days ago I was stupid enough to drop my ipod touch into a paddling pool of around 15 cm of water. I quickly got it out nd it was only submerged for around 1-2 seconds, i then took it out and it worked fine but soon the screen went very dark and now it has lost all functions in its touch screen, the home button and off button still work and the time seems to be changing but it will not unlock. It will also not let me play music even when controlled by the remote on the earphones. If the DR is concerned about a vaginal delivery i would definitely listen. with u being a very small woman, going ahead with vaginal delivery may be a bad idea. the baby may be too big for u and may get stuck, then they would have to do an emergency C-section anyway. Also there is a chance that the baby could get hung up on your pelvic bones and, as i said before, get stuck or shoulders could get dislocated from squeezing through. It may not be part of your birth plan, but u need to think about what is best for your baby.

Period two weeks early and had lots of watery discharge yesterday...?

My husband I are kind of ttc (we just started preconception diet and checkups) and wasn't sure what this could mean. I would call the office one more time and request medical records and let them know that you will be filing a complaint with the state medical board if their office does not comply. I would also demand a treatment plan as well. You already paid the man for a diagnosis which should include a prescription. I would follow through with this threat and make a complaint either way because I'm sure he will continue his bad medical practices until he is sanctioned. You can easily look up the number to your states medical board online and file a complaint.

What should I do since I still have swelling after more than 2 weeks of root canal?

After having a crown put on and horrible pain, extreme swelling and infection, I then had to have a root canal done through the crown. I think it's tooth #21. It's been a nightmare that started almost a month ago when I had the initial crown done and antibiotics started 2 day later by the ER, and I am still on. I've had many numbing shots from the dentist assistant first, 2 ER doctors (because my dentist went on vacation and mistakenly didn't have the right on call dentist, and the ER doctors after 3 days of consecutive visits still wouldn't call in an oral surgeon) the actual dentist as well, and then oral surgery to drain the infection out of my face and put in an actual drain (after my dentist came back from vacation and immediately got me into the oral surgeon). The swelling has went down but still is swelled and numb around the area where the tooth was. The gums seem to be ok, but not the inside or outside of my face. The tooth is still sore to touch, mostly on the outside. After my second course of antibiotics were out the swelling flared up more so the surgeon prescribed more (3rd course of antibiotics) and I go back for another checkup in 2 days. Nothing is changing and I fear that something is really wrong and I'm not being told everything from the dentist or oral surgeon. They may take out the tooth, but will that even help or be able to make sure they get it all (maybe some root that may have been missed ?) after the root canal? Please give me some truthful advice. Should I go somewhere else? It's not safe for me to be on antibiotics this long either. Who knows if they are working anymore. I'm scared. Please, please give me your honest advice. Thank you.

20 weeks pregnant, almost fainted?

While I was out shopping yesterday I felt suddenly weak like my heart was pounding too hard, so I sat on a chair to rest. I stayed there for a while but it just got worse to the point where I started to get very hot, sweating like crazy, my ears started to buzz and I'm sure I was going to faint or throw up. Luckily I didn't, and I felt ok after I got outside where it was cool and raining. I have been taking medication this week for a UTI and this week I have been more nauseous than usual, the morning sickness had been going away. I just got a new addition to the family. A australian shepherd mix. I just got him last sunday on fathers day. She missed her 15 month old appointment because of a change in insurance and now she has her 18 month old checkup. The problem is I now see that things that she is doing are traits of autism. here goes, i graduated last year with a BFA in Interior design. I've been looking for an entry level job since then with no luck. Now i'm willing to try something new and just go to a firm and tell them i would love to shadow a designer/ or volunteer for a day or two with them. Just as way to learn ( maybe make them like me). what does he do if you leave him naked, or at least bottomless? mine is 2 and it worked wonderfully with him. having a potty chair in the same room as you can help too, then once he's doing it in there move it closer to the bathroom, then in the bathroom, then have a potty seat on the toilet. we also did a sticker chart with two different sized stickers, he got to put a little one on the chart if he peed, and a BIG one on if he pooped, pretty soon he was trying to pee or poop all the time just to put a sticker on the chart.

I will soon have $30,000 saved for tuition at a 3D animation/modeling school. Is this a wisdom tooth?

I noticed these bumps on my gums like in the way back of my mouth. Its been there for a few days and it doesnt bother me at all. I discovered it (to make a long story short) while trying to get stuck food out of my mouth. Its like on the outer side of the gum so i could feel it (well not at all unless my tounge touches it). At first i thought it was a gum infection, but it wasnt bleeding and it doesnt hurt. I felt it with my finger (which was thoroughly cleaned) and it was like 2 small dull blades sticking out. It was probably at most 1 mm of my gum. Then it hit me, it must be my wisdom tooth, but im 12 and my cousin didnt get his removed til he was 26.. im like half of that. Ive heard that the wisdom tooth takes forever to come out but surely itll come out before 14 years. Im meaning to tell my mom to take me to the dentist for an xray checkup but she tells me as long as it doesnt hurt im fine .-. So im just gonna keep asking. So is it possible this is my wisdom tooth? It's okay sweety. I was 200 pounds before I got pregnant and I'm 5 foot 6 inches. Now in my third trimester Ive gained almost 30 pounds and STILL have 4 weeks to go. I feel the same way you do sometimes but the truth about guys is... they're going to look at other women... always. No matter if you're 120 pounds or 220 pounds. As long as he realizes he can look but he can't touch, you're fine. I mean, as women, we think about celebrity men sometimes... even normal men. So it's no different for him than it is for us. Remember also that you can try to lose the weight after the pregnancy. It may be hard to do but you'll probably feel better about yourself. Good luck and don't get discouraged with anything.

there are schools or universities that offer a regular two degree courses. This type of arrangement may take longer than the usual. if a regular course would take a student to finish in 4 years, then a two degree course may take 5 years. example of which is BS Physics CE or BS in PhyMath. A grduate of these course ends up with a degree in Chem Engineering and Physics or a degree in Physics and Math, respectively.

You'll probably be fine. The only other thing you can do is check with a good chiropractor and make sure to keep your back muscles strong. Anybody that works with biomechanics and body alignment should be able to help you. (That goes for anybody though, so don't let seeing an alignment specialist scare you. Lots of people have issues like this. Taking care of it now will improve health in the long run.)

Could this cat be sick?

A cat we found a couple days ago has a very hoarse meow. She is very friendly and open and doesn't seem to act strangely about anything. I was wondering if this could be some kind of infection or she's just a cat with a quiet, hoarse meow. We haven't taken her to the vet for a checkup yet. She also is blind and one eye, I don't know if that matters or not.

So I got my belly button pierced 5 months ago. The piercer said to come back in three months for a checkup and to change the jewelry, but since he lives two hours away I haven't made it in yet. I'll be going next Friday and I'm wondering if he'll change it. It seems pretty much healed. The bottom hole is little red/purple but I also scar purple from piercings. There is not really any discharge. Maybe a little bit every once in awhile that forms a little bit of crusties on the ring. It doesn't cause me any pain and I can move it up and down without any problem. What do you think?

My dog throw up this morning?

ok sunday i fed my dog in the morning around 9:00 (the time i usually feed her) i was going out later so i fed her a little early than i usually feed her(i fed her around 4 she usually eats around 6:30) monday i took her out around 8:30 she had a normal poop but she was also trying to eat grass but she wouldn't eat her food so she ate some grass and in the evening around 6:30 i gave her some food now yesterday she was eating normally and she pooped normally but today she threw up yellow bile around 10:15am and then when i took her out to go to the bathroom she had diarrhea (around 11:30) i haven't fed her any food yet because i heard you should with out food for at least 24 hours and then slowly introduce bland foods (last time she ate was 6:30pm yesterday) so i'm wondering should i try to feed her rice and boiled chicken tonight she seems hungry and she did drink some water last time she had this problem she didn't have anything wrong with her no parasites or anything and the vet sent me home with centrum for the diarrhea and throwing she was fine after a day or so im not able to take her to the vet(im in a wheelchair and i need someone to drive me) until friday or saturday so im not sure what to do could this just be a little stomach bug ?

no it sounds good. youll probably gain lots of muscle from ur work-out,but it might be good to cut out the cardio workout and the jogging or the sprinting. cut out only 2 of those things, but do NOT cut out the jump rope. jump rope is great for getting in shape. and ur meal plan is perfect. just be careful to not over-work urself.

Why is it so hard for me to get muscle definition?

First, my diet is definitely in check. I eat 6 frequent meals a day consisting of chicken breast, brown rice, oatmeal, egg whites, sweet potatoes, and tons of veggies. I don't season anything so there is no salt and as less fat *** possible. And my workouts are crazily intense... I don't think they're intense i know it for a fact as i actually know how to lift unlike some who skip around muscle groups orbench everyday. I also do 1 hour of the stairmaster everyday.
